It just so happens that today one of these rare occassions went down as such:
Sometime in the afternoon Jaxley reports a Scorpion Navy Issue, missioning right in the middle of Hevrice. Spreading the word reveals that only yesterday the pilot managed to slip our grasp, commanding the very same vessel.
As stubborn as he appears to be however, he also turns out to do his best to elude our great interest in him; mere seconds after the first sighting, he has already vanished from directional scanners. Nevertheless, a prober and some additional firepower are quickly assembled, knowing that mission runners tend to grow impatient and bold, given enough time. Still, the Scorpion pilot stays on his toes as long as there are Tuskers remaining in the system and decides to stay safely docked up.
The small fleet of Tuskers therefore leaves him in the system all by himself - safe for the assumingly neutral prober. Cue the waiting game.
Lo and behold, the prober soon reports that the Scorpion Navy Issue is back in space and continuing the mission. Before long, Oshi Daro's Stiletto jumps into Hevrice and charges in to tackle the sparkling battleship.
Coms are silent - "Point!"
Within a minute all the remainder of the fleet has arrived at the scene and we open a communication channel with our customer. 400 million ISK and he may leave in one piece, maybe even finish the mission if he's going to be quick about it. A generous offer, but he claims to only have 250 million on him. We urge him to carefully check his wallet one more time, but to no avail.
He's getting another chance, though: eject from the ship and get out of Hevrice, free of charge. He chooses to reject us yet again, which is met by our shared disappointment, expressed in heavy fire.
As the Navy Scorpion explodes, Oshi Daro is already standing ready to point the pod and we get to provide further services. This time, our customer swiftly pays the 100 million ISK for safe passage in return.
If only he had been prepared to do proper business, it might have saved him quite a lot of money.
Nice loot. I guess that guy won't be missioning in Hevrice again any time soon. Also, nice ransom board you have there.
